Einstein once said that we cannot hope to solve our problems with the same level of thinking that created them. Rather, we need to elevate our thinking or obtain a different perspective on our problems if we have any measure of finding the solutions that we chase. Perspective is everything when we face the problems of the day. We can take a victim mentality of "why me?" or we can look at it as an opportunity to stretch, grow and to learn new things. It is not that problems are inherently mean or have a will of their own that causes them to target us specifically, they just are. It is our opinion of them that makes them grow and have personality in our lives. And if we can cause that inference to happen in our own minds, changing our belief and perspective about problems to something more like an opportunity is also possible. It is our interpretation and perspective on problems that makes all the difference in how we feel about them and how we approach solving them. No one is without problems in their lives, but some have a much more positive perspective and approach about them.
Our perspective of th eproblem determines our success or failure. John C. Maxwell
To change ourselves effectively, we first had to change our perceptions. Stephen R. Covey
Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves. Carl Jung
